Now Hiring: Cafe Manager

We are now taking applications for a part time cafe manager for BillaBean Cafe. Hours will initially be paid on a casual basis, with the intention of working hours being 5 mornings per week initially (approximately 20 hours per week). Hours may be flexible and can be negotiated with prospective candidates depending on availability.

We are looking for someone with great people skills and organisational skills, able to handle the following responsibilities. 

Volunteer Mangement
As a volunteer operated cafe, the manager will work with several volunteers, providing training, overseeing rosters and developing a warm and vibrant volunteer culture at the cafe. 

Customer Engagement
The manager must develop rapport with returning customers, creating a friendly and welcoming environment for all and helping those who are interested connect with other programs and services offered by The Billabong church and community centre. 

Operations
The manager will oversee the operations including opening and closing, stock ordering, equipment maintenance and oversight of the point of sale (POS) system. 

Improvement
Effective use of social media and other advertising means is essential, as well as working with the staff of The Billabong to improve the overall effectiveness and engagement with the cafe.
